In like a lion March swept a blanket of snow across the South, but dreary weather didn't keep people inside and now that it is in the 70s again people are ready to get out and about. In case you were still hibernating during the past few weeks, My Scoop wants to put you in the know with these top events that drew stylistas across the region. Click on the gallery to see all photos.

Each year the junior board of Glenwood hosts 'The Night Under the Big Top' and even though this event is fabulous year after year, this year was in fact the tops. Upon arrival fab photog Arden Ward snapped a photo of hubby and I and we headed to grab a glass of wine. After I had been at the event an hour, I turned around to notice that half of Birmingham was at this event (at least the better looking half:). A packed house with children of all ages were enjoying the band, scarfing down gourmet grits, and betting it all for charity at the Blackjack tables and doing it in style. Preggars Callie Whatley looked gorgeous in a light blue shift dress from Banana Republic, Cathleen Elliott was so chic in a LBD, stylish Gray Garrett sported an outfit by Milly while Sara Schilleci looked fab in a Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent dress from Marella and jewelry from Theadora. My Scoop makeover winner Katherine Marsh wore a Nicole Miller dress and David Yurman jewelry, Mary Laura Day wore a purple dress from Macy's - "they're known as the quality store...", Anne McCabe Schilleci in a Suzi Chen green dress. I decided to throw some chips down on the Craps Table and won although I had no idea whatI was doing I just followed Caroline Goldasich's lead and did some 'woo-whoos' when they rolled the dice. If only I could have bet on fashion I would have thrown my chips down on these fashionistas: Best Dressed Shannon Sibley in a Mint by Jodi Arnold dress, Best Necklace Tracy Clark going big in a multi-chained stone necklace, Best Effortless Chic Arden Ward, Best Retro Look Nancy Brown.

Despite the cold weather, gal about town Kristi Lee had tons of friends show up for her Engagement party at Brooke Glenn's Riverchase home. There is no doubt that this group of girls knows how to throw a party. Kristi Lee was the lady in red while hot mamma Joy McClain chose a patterned dress. Krystal Torcivio was bringing March in like lion wearing a fabulous Black Halo dress. The ever bubbly Allison Taylor looked oh-so cute in black. Who knew after a night of wine and goodtimes that 5 inches of snow would cover the ground.

Ringing in March both Gus Mayer and Soca hosted style events on Tuesday March 3. Guests at Gus Mayer's Bi-annual Girl's Night Out enjoyed martinis with food from Brio, make up sessions, and fun door prizes. My Scoop's Becky Meriwether searched the crowd and found Katherine Marsh yet again out on the town looking fab with lawyer Jenifer Wallis looking very sophisticated in a black pencil skirt, white top, and red shoes. Katie LeMaster brought baby Price to this stylish affair and Elizabeth Broughton, Jean Noogin and Betsy Stiles enjoyed perusing the spring trends and sipping on a libation.

Across town at The Wine Loft, Soca hosted a fashion show and where there is Soca you know there is style man Jeff Tenner. Jessica Sulcher and Laura Hall looked ready for spring in big necklaces while Stephanie Smith and Emily Hooten sported the spring scarf. Anyone driving by noticed the happening scene created that Tuesday night downtown.

That's all for now, your gossip gal is off to enjoy this 80 degree weather. xoxo
