There was a time not so long ago when going to the movies, night swims, and French kissing were a guaranteed weekly occurrence during the summer. Now that I am older they do not seem to happen as often on those hot summer nights as they once did, but my how I miss summer movies (much more so than the teenage boy licking my teeth).
So this summer I am committed to watching movies. So far only one has been checked off the list, but it was a great one, and since I have a 4 yr old daughter one we could enjoy together - Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. So if you are yearning for some summer cinema, here is a list not to be missed:
1. People Like Us - While settling his recently deceased father's estate, a salesman discovers he has a sister whom he never knew about, leading both siblings to re-examine their perceptions about family and life choices. Elizabeth Banks, Chris Pine.

3. Take This Waltz - A happily married woman falls for the artist who lives across the street. Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen.
4. Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted - Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent - Madagascar style.
5. Brave - Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.
6. The Dark Knight Rises - Eight years after Batman took the fall for Two Face's crimes, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham's finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy. Christian Bale, Michael Caine.
