What made you choose to buy a condo?

I chose a condo not only for the investment but for the convenience of maintenance free home ownership plus the security is reassuring.  

Why do you love it?

Not only is the location convenient but the view of Birmingham is unexpected yet magnificent!

What is your decor style?

Very eclectic with the entire décor based around a jewel-tone palette.  I have always enjoyed mixing antiques with a modern flair.  The warmth of antique items that have survived the times brings so much character to anyone’s personal style.

What are your fave pieces of furniture and where are they from?

Most of my favorite furnishings are my favorites because of the family history.  Examples of such items are an antique wood cash register that I had made into a piece of furniture.  It was used in my great grand father's General Store located in Gallion, Alabama in the early 1900's.

I also love the Japanese wood coffee table which was purchased by my grandparents in Chanchun, China in 1946.  It has a beautiful pattern of inlaid mother of pearl, brass, jade, shell and ivory.

My bed's headboard.  The antique ceiling tiles were purchased and then the headboard was designed around them.

What do you want your home to say about you?

My home reflects not only my personality and my travels but my admiration for all forms of art.  When someone is in my home I want them to know they can be them self.

What's the best part about coming home at night?

 For me the best part of coming home at night is being welcomed by my best pal Chloe, my Maltese.  It is also always wonderful to walk in to be surrounded by memories of family, friends and all my travels.
