What inspires you to design?
Although I have been designing for 8 years, I am still inspired by my clientele and admirers. It's always inspiring to have the ability to create new and innovative pieces that will exceed their expectations. Knowing they will be wearing an original Jen Boaz design is extremely gratifying. My jewelry is the final touch that completes your look. I’m attracted to colors - if a color jumps out at me, grabs my attention, I know I have to create something with it. I also love combining contrasting colors and patterns into the perfect compliment.. I am confident that if I made it, you will love it! Without it, you're simply a lost cause!

Is designing as fun as it seems it would be?
100% I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It is my passion, my love and my life! With endless possibilities, my mind is constantly stimulated, always craving to design new! Timeless, sassy and one- of a kind looks is what I'm about. I love having the freedom to create whatever I desire. Its a wonderful feeling to have people oohing and ahhing over my work. Thinking of the perfect name for each of my pieces has become quite an obsession...not to mention the fact that I have them memorized! All 160 of them!

Where do you find inspiration for your colors and patterns?
I have a keen eye for color, pattern, style and design that comes very naturally to me. Customizing jewelry is my favorite. When I shop for stones, I may find some that may spark an idea for a new look, or I may come up with an idea in my mind and then find the materials that would work the best.

If you could be anywhere in the world where would you be?
I’d be at my studio making jewelry...but, there would be a beach just outside my doorstep.

Where do you see your company in 5 years?
I imagine the company will maintain its current signature “fun-loving” / “you know you wanna dance with me” / “girls just wanna have fun” style, though I do believe in dynamic design and am already working on jewelry lines that are defined by an even more specific tone. I also do a lot of custom design and enjoy client-inspired themes - I just designed the earrings and necklaces for a bridal party, curving each piece toward the personality of the girl who will be wearing them – and they kick ass!

Who is your favorite celeb to wear your designs?
Ok….I’ll just go for the Big Time: I have always been so inspired by Oprah and all that she does for the world. I would be honored to create a special piece just for her.

As a child did you envision yourself doing something creative?
Always! Growing up and throughout college I was always into painting, drawing, color, design and fashion!
