What made you decide to go into fashion?
I've always had a passion for fashion. According to my parents, when I was learning how to walk I wouldn’t take a step without a purse on my arm.
What inspires you to design?
Finding new ways to express the new trends in my work. I love finding brilliant gemstones and materials and seeing where they take me.
What are your favorite materials to work with?
Semi precious gemstones. I love everything from sparkly drusy stones, rubies and turquoise to bright bold chalcedony.
What songs inspire you?
Florence and The Machine "You've got the love" . It’s one of my favorite songs. Whenever I feel kind of blue and need to be pumped up, I blast this song and think of all the great people in my life.
If you could be anywhere in the world where would you be?
Not just one place. If I had the time and funds I would be a professional jetsetter. I love to travel and get inspiration from different cultures.
What is your favorite trend for summer and fall?
I love the structured color blocking trends. It compliments my latest jewelry line very well!
What one item can you not live without?
My white silk Joie top. It’s a blank canvas for a great necklace. I can dress it up with a skirt and a great statement piece or dress it down with jeans and an egyptian tassel. It’s basically a dressy white tank-top. I live in it.
