Perhaps it was the chance to get dressed up after a cold January, perhaps it was the atmosphere created by Barbara Cooney, Leslie Cooper, Gia Rabito and their busy team of ballet volunteers, perhaps it was the amazing paella prepared by Kathy G, perhaps it was the extravagant open bar, perhaps it was the dance 'til you drop band, perhaps it was the absolutely fun crowd that included a Mountain Brook mom willing to sing I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas with the band, perhaps it was being surrounded by designer clothes at Saks Fifth Avenue - whatever it was there is no denying that the Alabama Ballet's Pointe Ball is one of our region's most fantastic events.
